The Bow bridges a gap that straight lines can't. It was designed to mimic the curve of an archers bow - with a sense of tension and energy, and a clean line that gets the job done without looking too heavy. The brass adds a touch of warmth, while the acrylic adds a bit of lightness - allowing the arc to span greater distances without putting too much weight on the ceiling. And what it does better than a vertical chandelier is create a horizontal visual connection across staircases and hotel atriums - it's a way to tie a whole space together. The archers bow is probably one of the oldest curved things we've ever engineered - going back a whopping 70,000 years. And its power comes from storing elastic energy - all bent up and ready to go. It's the same principle that modern suspension bridges use - because the curve allows the weight to be distributed through compression rather than tension. And that lets the curve span a lot further than a straight beam ever could. The Bow chandelier takes this same idea and applies it to lighting - and it works a treat. Because the curve can handle a lot more stress than a straight line would - and that means it can handle weights of up to 15 feet - while a straight fixture of the same weight would struggle to clear 10 feet. What kind of space does the Bow need to work in?

To be honest, we've engineered it for spaces with a minimum of 15 foot ceilings - and a horizontal span of at least 10 feet. It really needs a bit of height and a bit of width to be able to do its thing - get to be a bit of a bridge across the space. If you've got a bigger space, we can custom make the arc to span up to 20 feet - while still keeping the structure nice and stable.

Is the Bow a lot lighter than a traditional crystal chandelier?

Yes - significantly lighter. The acrylic panels are a lot lighter than glass - and the metal framework is designed to be strong rather than heavy. So the whole thing is a lot easier on the ceiling than a big heavy crystal chandelier would be. Which makes it perfect for places where you've got space constraints, like duplex homes and offices.

Does the Bow work with other chandeliers that are more traditional in style?

Yes - because the arc in The Bow is a bit of a counterpoint to traditional vertical chandeliers. They create a nice balance between height and width, and the brass finish is nice and complementary to traditional fixtures. So you can have a mix of old and new - and it all works together nicely.

Does the arc provide good lighting right across the space, or is it just along the curve?
