Description

The Finial Sconce is a wall-mounted indoor decorative light whose name joins its two most distinctive elements: the iron ring finial that crowns its tall central turned wood spindle, and the twin candle arms that extend from the spindle's lower section to complete the sconce composition. The spindle rises through a series of turned profiles, ball, column, and acanthus-carved sections, from a dark iron wall bracket backed by a small shield-shaped wood plate. It suits drawing rooms, living rooms, hotels, and restaurants where a handcrafted, heritage wall fitting is the design intention.

The spindle and candle cups are formed from solid wood, their surface carrying a whitewashed antique finish that allows the natural grain and turning marks to remain visible beneath. Each candle cup is ringed by a dark rusted iron leaf collar, its individual cut petals fanning outward around the drip-effect candle sleeve above. The curved iron arms are dark and oxidised, their finish consistent with the aged iron of the bracket and leaf collars throughout.

Both flame-tip candle bulbs cast indoor house lights upward and outward from the wall in the open, warm register characteristic of candlelight. The twin sources flank the tall central spindle at equal height, the spindle itself acting as a vertical anchor between them that gives the wall composition a presence beyond the two points of light alone.
