Description

The Fluted Column takes its name from the alternating brass and clear glass vertical rods that form its cylindrical body, a construction that references the carved channels of classical stone columns while replacing stone with a material pairing of warm metal and transparent glass. In a study, bedroom, drawing room, hotel, or office, this base reads as a miniature architectural form whose interior depth shifts with viewing angle and light condition.

The brass rods carry a warm antique finish that deepens in tone between the clear glass intervals, the transparency of the glass allowing each brass rod to be seen at varying depth through the column's circumference. The circular stepped base and the cap disc above share the same antique brass finish, framing the rod assembly with consistent material authority from plinth to crown. A small brass sphere finial at the shade's top completes the composition with a deliberate terminal point.

Through the gold fabric drum shade, light takes on a deep warm cast that fills the surrounding room with rich amber tones suited to drawing room ambiance, hotel bedside warmth, bedroom evening light, and study task support.
