Description

The Turned Torchère is a wall-mounted indoor decorative light whose name describes the classical form at its core: a polished gold turned spindle arm, working through ball forms, a long tapering body, and a ball finial at its base, carries at its crown a shallow cup cradle from which a clear amber glass globe rises over an exposed filament bulb. The spindle mounts via a short horizontal bracket from a circular brushed gold wall rose. It suits hotels, living rooms, offices, drawing rooms, dining areas, and bedrooms where a classically proportioned, gold and glass wall fitting is the design intention.

The spindle is finished in a high-polish gold tone, its turned profile catching light across each change of form along its length. The glass globe is clear with a light amber tint, its wall carrying visible air bubble inclusions characteristic of hand-blown glass production. The open base of the globe sits over the filament bulb within the cup cradle, the bulb fully visible through the transparent glass above it. The circular wall rose is finished in a brushed gold tone, its matte surface providing a deliberate contrast to the high-polish spindle below it.

The exposed filament bulb casts indoor house lights directly upward and outward through the amber glass, the warm filament glow deepened further by the light tint of the globe. The air bubble inclusions within the glass wall catch and scatter this output across the globe surface, adding a fine textural quality to the light as it emerges.
