About Chandeliers
Lumeil chandeliers are made for the rooms people remember: dining tables, double-height foyers, living rooms and hotel lobbies. The collection runs from compact pieces for apartments to multi-tier designs for staircases and atriums, in crystal, brass, black metal and glass.
Size: add the room's length and width in feet; the total is a good chandelier diameter in inches. A 12 × 14 ft living room suits a chandelier of about 26 inches (66 cm). Over a dining table, choose a diameter of one-half to two-thirds of the table's width.
Height: hang the bottom of a dining chandelier 30 to 36 inches (75–90 cm) above the tabletop, and keep at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of clear headroom wherever people walk underneath. In double-height spaces, allow about 2.5 to 3 inches of chandelier height for every foot of ceiling height.
Every piece ships from Jaipur with delivery across India. Architects and designers can ask for project pricing through the Trade Desk, and our guide to dining room chandeliers has more ideas.
Chandelier questions
What size chandelier do I need for my room?
Add the room's length and width in feet and use the total as the diameter in inches. A 10 × 12 ft room suits a chandelier about 22 inches (56 cm) wide.
How high should a chandelier hang over a dining table?
30 to 36 inches (75–90 cm) between the tabletop and the bottom of the chandelier; add about 3 inches for every foot of ceiling above 8 ft.
Can I have a chandelier and a ceiling fan in the same room?
Yes. Keep them apart so the blades never reach the fixture: a common layout puts the chandelier over the dining table and the fan over the seating area.
