What minimum ceiling height do you need for the luminary Ascent?Well, it's really designed for spaces with a bit of height to them - at least 15 to 20 feet, for duplex homes and staircases. The thing is, it's the tiered arrangement that makes the whole thing work - you need to be able to see the progression from the base to the top, or it just doesn't work. In a hotel or mall with a really high ceiling - 25 feet or more - it's just incredible. The whole thing feels like it's on a journey, and that's just magic.
Is the tiered design stable, or is it going to make places unstable?Actually, the opposite is true. Because the lower tiers have to carry the weight of the upper ones, the whole thing ends up with a lower center of gravity. It's actually more stable than a traditional chandelier. We ship it with commercial-grade mounts, but it's also worth getting a pro in to install it if you're going for something really high.
Is it a bit too modern for traditional spaces? Not if you do it right. The basic principle of the tiered construction is a classic - it's just the way the light works that's a bit more contemporary. So you can take it back to its roots with a traditional finish - bronze or gold, say. It'll still feel like a bit of forward-thinking design, but it'll also feel like it's been around for years. It's the perfect compromise between old and new.
Does the whole "light rising" thing make it hard to get good room lighting?Actually, the opposite is true. The way the light rises creates a really natural gradient - brighter towards the ceiling, softer at floor level. It's exactly what people want - and it's actually better for their eyes than harsh overhead lighting. In a living room or lobby, it's a really nice way to get a bit of depth and atmosphere without it being too harsh.

A statement piece for contemporary and traditional rooms alike, built from materials chosen to last.

You can't help but be inspired by light that rises. Luminary Ascent is a game-changer for any space that wants to make a bigger impact. It's a towering creation of metal and glass in ascending tiers that draws your eye upwards - whether it's in a hotel lobby or hotel staircase. As the light catches the glass panels at each level, it bounces and refracts, while the metal framework provides a solid foundation for the whole thing. It's the perfect way to build up visual momentum - each level gets brighter and more refined than the one below, building up to a concentrated beam of light at the top. And to add a bit of warmth, you can finish it off with bronze or brushed gold touches - a nice contrast to the coolness of steel. On its own, it's a striking sculptural piece that can anchor an office or mall. But turn it on and the whole thing comes to life - each tier glowing brighter and brighter, till it's like a little slice of the sun shining down into your living room or duplex home. And what's really cool is that it feels like the light is something that's been earned, not just handed out. So if you want to create a space that says "we've made it" then Luminary Ascent is the perfect choice - it's not just about the light, it's about the feeling it gives you.
