What sort of ceiling height do I need for Crystal Pinnacle to fit my place?Well we do recommend at least 15 to 20 feet of vertical clearance for our chandelier to really shine. The inverted cone geometry needs some space to actually work its magic and make that ceiling seem higher than it is. And in hotels and shopping malls with a ceiling that's 25+ feet high, Crystal Pinnacle really comes into its own.
Does the inverted cone thing make it stable, or does the narrow top tip it over?Actually, the opposite is true - the wide base with lots of heavy crystal holding it down gives Crystal Pinnacle a super stable low center of gravity. We even send out commercial-grade ceiling mounts with it so you can be sure it's secure. If you do plan to install in a high place - 15+ feet - you'll probably want to get a pro in to do it for you, but the inverted form is actually more stable than your average old chandelier because the weight is concentrated at the bottom where people can see it.
How does the whole chandelier thing work with the old-fashioned decor in my drawing room?Well, while Crystal Pinnacle is an old idea - using crystal and chandelier craftsmanship - the way it goes about it is actually pretty modern. It's a fresh take on the idea of what a chandelier looks like and how it makes you feel. It's saying "we respect the past, but let's do something new with it" - and in modern spaces, that's just what people are looking for.
Does the cone shape help with all round light distribution? The short answer is yes. The cone shape means that light is coming from every direction and the upward taper stops any harsh downward lighting. In duplex staircases and hotel lobbies, Crystal Pinnacle gives a nice even glow that fills the whole room up. The inverted form actually even improves lighting compared to traditional chandeliers because the crystal mass is right down at eye level where you need it.
Can the arrangement of crystals affect the energy flow in a room?Did you know that in nature, the cone is actually the most efficient way to build something that points up into the air? Cones - pinecones, cypress trees, cathedral spires - they all use this tapered geometry to stack height while keeping weight down and stress to a minimum. And in designing chandeliers, turning this on its head - making it wider at the bottom and narrower at the top - creates this thing called "visual thrust" - the eye just naturally follows the lines upwards and makes the ceiling seem higher than it actually is. The folks who design buildings call it that. And what Crystal Pinnacle does is exploit this very same trick - making it so the tapering crystals create this illusion of extra height, making a room that's only 15 feet high feel bigger than it actually is. It's pretty cool - Crystal Pinnacle is the result of taking some of the rules of architecture and applying them to engineering crystals - and proving that how we see the space matters just as much as the space itself.

A statement piece for contemporary and traditional rooms alike, built from materials chosen to last.

The crystals on Crystal Pinnacle point upwards. And to make a bold statement, they do just that - inverting the whole traditional chandelier idea of cascading downwards. Instead, Crystal Pinnacle pulls your eye upwards, towards the ceiling and the sky. Thousands of these crystals are arranged in a way that gets less dense the higher you go - starting wide at the bottom and tapering off to a narrow point at the top. This creates a pretty cool effect - "forced perspective" - that gives the impression the whole thing is towering over you. And its going to look pretty amazing in hotels or on a stair case in a duplex.

The way the metal framework follows the exact same geometry as the crystals really adds to the effect - each tier smaller than the one below, building up momentum and making the whole thing appear to be climbing upwards. Some people might call this architectural sculpture - like some fancy design feature that happens to be hanging from the ceiling. And when you turn on the lights, the whole crystal mass starts glowing - radiating brightness in all directions and turning the space into a sort of magical, dreamlike place. In offices or hotels where the ceiling can feel a million miles away, Crystal Pinnacle does the trick - bridging the gap with a bit of clever geometry that gets you looking up.
