What ceiling height does Gilded Bobbin need?Allow at least 2.7m where people walk beneath it, or hang it over furniture or a stairwell void where no one passes under.

Did You Know Fact About The CategoryStott Park Bobbin Mill in England's Lake District opened in 1835 to supply wooden bobbins to the cotton mills of Lancashire, which used them by the million to hold spun thread. Coppiced birch, ash and sycamore from the surrounding woods were turned there on water-powered lathes. The mill kept working until 1971 and is now preserved as a working museum.

Gilded Bobbin stacks turned sections one above another, like the wooden bobbins that once filled textile mills, with a gold glass shade wrapped around its middle. This long pendant light suits a staircase, a bedside, a hotel lobby or a tall living room corner.
The turned sections are metal in a soft putty finish, broken by clear faceted glass collars. At the centre sits a gold glass shade with fluted panels above and below a beaded band, and a faceted glass drop finishes the tip. This gold glass pendant is 160mm wide and 970mm in fitted height.
Two built-in 7W LEDs light the fitting, and the glow passes through the fluted gold glass before catching the clear collars below. As an LED hanging light it needs no separate bulbs, and it holds its own in a stairwell or above a hotel reception desk.
