Is it suitable for a stairwell or landing ceiling?Yes, its enclosed shape looks good from below, which suits stair ceilings and landings. Plan how you will reach it for bulb changes before fitting, as stairwells can be awkward.
Can the glass be cleaned without taking the fitting down? The panels can usually be wiped in place with a damp cloth from a stable step ladder. Whether individual panels detach is best confirmed with your retailer.
What style of interior suits the Coronet? Its crown gallery and finial lean classic and colonial, at home in heritage bungalows and traditional drawing rooms. In a simpler modern room, it becomes a single decorative detail.
Does the light shine downward or all around? The glass wraps the whole bowl, so light spreads down and outward rather than in a narrow beam, with the textured top band sending extra brightness toward the ceiling.
Did You Know Fact About The CategoryThe pierced metal band around the top of a lamp or lantern is called a gallery. On traditional oil lamps, the gallery was a working part that held the glass chimney or shade in place, and many decorative light fittings still carry a gallery rim as an ornamental echo of that design.

A pierced gallery rims the top of The Coronet like a small crown, sitting above a bowl of glass panels framed in brass. It brings traditional charm to the Bed Room, Dining Area, Drawing Room and Staircase, and to Hotels.

The antique brass metal frame carries two tiers of glass: a textured upper band and white panels below, finished with a small brass finial. It measures 230mm in both width and height and uses one E27 bulb.

Once illuminated, the lower panels glow evenly while the textured band scatters brighter light toward the ceiling, and the brass frame traces each panel in outline.
