Care & maintenance

Make sure the light is off and the bulb has cooled. Clean the faceted glass with mild soapy water, using a small brush to reach the grooves, then dry it fully. Wipe the antique brass fitter with a dry cloth only, as metal polish removes the aged finish.

Can it replace an existing ceiling light?Yes, it connects to a standard ceiling point like most compact fittings, so swapping out an older light is usually simple for an electrician.
Does the brass fitter need polishing? No, the antique finish is meant to look mellow and aged, and metal polish can strip it. A dry cloth is all it needs.
Can several be used together?Yes, a row of them works well above a kitchen counter or along a corridor, where the repeated globes create rhythm. In a bedroom, one can light a dressing area or entrance.
Which bulb gives the best sparkle?A clear bulb with a visible filament makes the facets sparkle most, since the pattern depends on a sharp point of light. Frosted bulbs give a calmer, more even light.
Did You Know Fact About The CategoryPressed glass, made by forcing molten glass into a patterned mould with a plunger, was mechanised in the United States in the 1820s. It allowed faceted designs imitating costly hand-cut crystal to be made quickly and affordably, bringing sparkling glassware and light shades into ordinary homes.

Diamond-cut facets wrap the round glass globe of The Facet, so it catches light from every angle, even when switched off. Use it in the Bed Room, Dining Area, Kitchen or Living Room, or along a Staircase.

A short antique brass fitter holds the globe close to the ceiling. Compact at 150mm wide and 150mm tall, it takes a single E27 bulb, sold separately.

With the bulb on, each facet throws its own highlight, scattering a textured pattern onto nearby walls while the enclosed globe keeps glare down.
