How high should it hang above a dining table?As a general guide, pendants over a dining table hang around 750mm to 900mm above the tabletop, which keeps sightlines clear across the table. Adjust to suit your ceiling height and seating.
Will the frosted acrylic yellow?Good-quality acrylic stays clear for years, and LED gives off very little UV, the main cause of yellowing. Keep it out of strong direct sun where possible.
Will it suit a white modern kitchen?Yes, the frosted band reads as pale and airy against white cabinetry, and the gold ceiling plate adds a warm accent that links to brass taps or handles.
Is the light concentrated or spread out?It spreads along the whole oval, so light falls evenly across a long table instead of pooling in the middle.
Did You Know Fact About The CategoryGlacier ice often looks blue because dense ice absorbs the red end of the spectrum more strongly than blue. Snow looks white because its many air pockets scatter all colours, but as it is compressed over years into glacier ice, the air is squeezed out and the blue tint appears.

A thick, frosted band of acrylic wraps an elongated oval in The Glacier, its surface textured like compacted ice. Made for the Dining Area, it also suits a Kitchen, a Living Room, an Office and Hotels.
The oval band is moulded acrylic, held from a slim rectangular ceiling plate by fine wires, with metal parts in a gold finish. Its 1000mm by 300mm outline houses an in-built LED.
Lit, the band turns into a continuous ring of frosted light, bright along the rim and gentle on the table below, much like light caught in ice.
