Does it hang centred above a table?Yes, the bar hangs from a long ceiling plate on two cords, so align the plate with the length of the table for a balanced look.
Do the gold globes need special care?Treat them like the white globes, with a damp cloth and a dry finish. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can scratch glass surfaces.
Will it work over a kitchen island?Yes, its 1200mm length suits a long island or breakfast bar, and the white globes give plenty of general light above the counter.
Is the arrangement symmetrical? No, the globes rise and fall in a wave, so the light has a flowing rhythm rather than a strict row, which makes it feel more decorative than a standard linear light.
Did You Know Fact About The CategoryNatural pearls form when a mollusc coats an irritant with layers of nacre, the same material as mother-of-pearl, and their lustre comes from light reflecting off these thin layers. Almost all pearls sold today are cultured, a method developed commercially by Kokichi Mikimoto in Japan in the 1890s.

A wave of white opal globes rises and falls along a black bar in The Pearl Wave, interspersed with smaller globes in a gold tone. Made for long tables, it suits a Dining Area, a Kitchen, a Living Room, Restaurants and Hotels.

The bar and suspension are metal in black, carrying glass globes in white and gold. It spans 1200mm with an overall height of 1000mm, fitted with twelve G9 holders.

Lit, the white globes shine like a string of pearls while the gold globes reflect their light, so the bar has both a bright line and warm metallic accents.
