Does the chain suspension suit a staircase?Yes, the chain suits stairwells and entrance halls, where the star can hang at a visible height. Check the chain length against your ceiling height before fitting.
How do I reach inside the points? The glass sits inside each point, so wrap a cloth over a fingertip to reach the corners. A monthly dust prevents build-up.
Does it only suit festive decor? No, although the star shape recalls traditional lanterns, the antique brass and textured glass give it a year-round heritage look in hallways and living rooms.
Is the light direct or filtered? The textured glass filters the bulb, so light comes through each point as a diffused warm tone, with star-like shadows cast by the frame.
Did You Know Fact About The CategoryThe multi-pointed star lantern is often called a Moravian star. It is traced to a Moravian Church boys' school in Herrnhut, Germany, in the 1830s or 1840s, where it was used in geometry lessons. The classic version has 26 points and is now a common Advent decoration.

Pointed glass rays radiate in every direction from The Polaris, a three-dimensional star framed in brass and hung from a chain. It suits a Staircase, a Drawing Room, a Living Room, a Bed Room and Hotels.
Antique brass metal frames each point, holding textured glass panels, and the pendant hangs from a sleeved chain. It measures 320mm across and 320mm high, with one E27 bulb at its centre.
When lit, the textured glass turns every point into a small lantern, and the brass edges throw sharp, star-shaped shadows onto the ceiling and walls.
