What kind of ceiling height do you need to make Supernova shine its best?To be honest Supernova is a piece that really needs a double-height space to work properly - you're talking a minimum of 15 to 20 feet of clearance in a duplex home, or a staircase, or a drawing room, really anywhere you want to create some real vertical drama. And if you're looking at hotels, malls or atriums - 25 feet or so would be the bare minimum to really make it pop. We can also do custom installations for bigger spaces, so just let us know what you need.
Is Supernova stable and secure, even in the biggest spaces?Absolutely - we've designed it to distribute weight evenly from the central core out to the metal arms, so it doesn't put any strain on any one mounting point. We also ship it with reinforced ceiling mounts to make sure it can handle all the weight and stress of a big installation - in hotels, duplex homes and all that. And of course we require a pro for any installations that are above 15 feet up, just to be on the safe side.
