Are the LEDs built-in for good or can they be swapped out at some point?

LEDs are permanently integrated within each ring with a lifespan of 50,000 hours plus (so that's 20+ years in typical use). When they start getting old - and they will after a while - the metal chandelier rings are modular - you can swap the individual tiers out without taking the whole thing apart.
