Is the bell open at the bottom?Yes. The rim is open, so most of the light falls straight down, with a softer glow through the fluted sides.
Which bulb shape looks best inside?A short E27 globe or pear bulb sits neatly inside the bell. Bulbs are not included.
Is there a version with a shallower shade?Swan Neck shares the curved gold rod with a wide, shallow amber shade and a smaller G4 bulb.
Will amber glass make my kitchen look yellow?It adds a warm cast close to the fitting, while main ceiling lights keep the overall colour neutral.
Did You Know Fact About The CategoryFoxglove gave medicine one of its oldest heart drugs. In 1785 the English physician William Withering published a study of foxglove leaves, which he had used to treat dropsy, a swelling now linked to heart failure. The plant contains compounds known as cardiac glycosides, and digoxin, taken from a related foxglove species, is still prescribed today. Every part of the plant is poisonous.

Amber Foxglove bends a slim gold stem over a deep, flared amber bell, the way a foxglove carries its drooping flowers. This bell pendant light suits a dining area, a bedside, a hotel corridor or a kitchen window bay.
The stem is gold-finish metal with a gentle curve, set with gold beads and a clear ribbed glass ball near the top. Lower down, an amber glass teardrop rests on the shade, a deep bell of amber glass with a textured band at the shoulder and fluted sides that flare at the rim. This fluted glass pendant is 160mm across and 650mm in fitted height.
An E27 bulb inside the bell sends light down through the open rim, while the fluted amber sides glow honey-gold. Over a breakfast table or a kitchen counter, it works as a kitchen pendant light with a soft, warm cast.
