The Antique Chalice takes its name from the chalice-like silhouette formed by the wide lantern body, the carved pedestal stem, and the broad circular base, a profile that gives this gate light lamp an immediately recognisable form among the gate lanterns in the collection. The lantern suits outdoor gate posts, hotel entrance pillars, formal garden perimeters, and office boundary installations.
The frame is cast in metal with an antique brown finish and visible gold highlighting across the raised relief surfaces, giving the structure a distressed, aged appearance. An applied fleur-de-lis and paired scroll overlay sits across the centre of each glass face. The pedestal stem below the body is carved with dense foliate relief, and the broad base carries ribbed and stepped detailing. Amber-tinted glass fills the tapered body panels, producing a warm tone even before the lamp is activated. The form references antique gate lights of the French classical and estate tradition.
