The Black Lattice takes its name from the flat black finish and the diamond mesh pattern pressed into the green-tinted glass panel, a combination that gives this gate light lamp a graphic, industrial character unlike any other lantern in the collection. The wide, low rectangular form suits contemporary gate posts, office boundary pillars, hotel perimeter walls, and garden terrace placements where a compact horizontal profile is required.

The frame is constructed in metal with a flat black finish across the full outer exoskeleton, comprising corner posts, horizontal top and bottom rails, and a flat overhanging cap with a stepped base below. The glass panel fills the front face within the outer frame and carries a raised diamond mesh pattern across its full surface. The glass has a visible green tint that is present both when unlit and when illuminated. The sides of the outer frame are open, consistent with the exoskeleton construction.
