How does the light output of The Flat Orbit differ from conventional outdoor wall lanterns in the Lumeil collection? The Flat Orbit emits light horizontally and downward through a circumferential diffuser ring rather than projecting through glass panels. This produces a floating disc silhouette after dark rather than an omnidirectional or directional lantern glow.
Is The Flat Orbit suited to modern architectural contexts where ornamental wall lanterns would appear out of place?Yes, the absence of scroll brackets, ornament, and decorative detailing makes it specifically suited to contemporary rendered, cladded, and concrete wall surfaces where traditional lantern forms would conflict with the architectural register.
What fixing method does The Flat Orbit use, and is the circular wall plate large enough to conceal standard back-box installations? The circular wall plate mounts directly to the wall surface. Confirm the wall plate diameter and cable entry configuration with your retailer to verify compatibility with your specific back-box or conduit installation.
Can The Flat Orbit serve as a garden lamp to illuminate the ground surface below its wall-mounted position? The downward light component from the disc diffuser ring casts a soft pool of illumination on the ground surface directly below, suited to marking terrace edges, garden path borders, and entrance zones after dark.

A statement piece for contemporary and traditional rooms alike, built from materials chosen to last. All all outdoor lights →
The Flat Orbit takes its name from the flat circular disc head and the orbital ribbed diffuser band that runs around its perimeter, a form that gives this outdoor led lighting piece an immediately contemporary identity among all outdoor wall lights in the collection. The minimal profile suits modern hotel facades, office boundary walls, terrace perimeter surfaces, and garden boundary walls where a clean, unornamented wall presence is required.
The full structure is cast in metal with a dark bronze-brown finish across the disc head, cylindrical neck, and circular wall plate. The disc head is wide and shallow, with a ribbed translucent diffuser ring positioned around the full circumference at the disc edge. The cylindrical neck connects the disc head to the circular wall plate at a right angle, with no bracket arm, scroll, or ornamental detail on any component.
Light emits horizontally and downward through the ribbed diffuser ring, producing a warm band of light around the full disc circumference. As garden wall lights placed along a hotel perimeter wall or modern terrace boundary, the horizontal light band creates a distinct floating disc effect after dark, with the dark disc body remaining visually prominent above the illuminated diffuser ring.
