The Shoji Post takes its name from the vertical bar and tick-mark grid pattern on its inner glass panels, a composition that directly references the Japanese shoji screen, giving this gate light lamp a formal identity unlike any other lantern in the collection. The open outer frame and recessed inner glazed box suit contemporary gate posts, hotel perimeter pillars, minimalist garden boundaries, and office entrance installations.
The frame is constructed in metal with a deep espresso-brown finish across all surfaces. The outer structure is an open square exoskeleton of corner posts and horizontal rails, with no solid cladding between the frame members. Within this outer frame sits a recessed inner box glazed on each face with frosted glass panels set behind a dense grid of vertical dark metal bars interrupted by evenly spaced short horizontal tick marks.
