Gold Plumb

Gold Plumb takes its name from the plumb line, the weighted vertical tool used in construction and navigation to establish a true perpendicular, its composition of a tall brass bar descending to a weighted convex disc and open ring terminal directly referencing that instrument's form and logic. In a drawing room, living room, bedroom, office, or hotel, this fitting reads as a considered wall composition whose vertical precision holds authority across both minimal and richly furnished interiors.

The brushed brass bar is fixed to the wall via two circular brass collars, the upper collar near the bar's tip and the lower collar at the disc's attachment point, keeping the bar flush against the wall surface across its full length. The convex brass disc sits proud of the bar at the lower collar, its domed face catching and diffusing ambient room light across its curved surface in a warm spread that shifts with the room's light conditions. A thin open brass ring hangs below the disc, its circular form echoing the collar geometry above and completing the composition with a terminal that is simultaneously decorative and structurally considered.

Light is emitted from behind the convex disc where the LED source sits between the disc and the wall, directing warm light outward and downward across the wall surface and the floor zone below the fitting. This behind-disc placement creates a halo of warm light around the disc's perimeter that reinforces the plumb composition's weighted lower presence.
