Is it stable when the arm is angled?The counterweight balances the dome, and the round base anchors the pole. Use it on flat, even flooring and avoid hanging anything from the arm.
Will the pivot loosen over time?Moving joints can ease with frequent use. If the arm starts to drift, ask your retailer about tightening the pivot rather than forcing it.

A pivoting arm with a counterweight at one end and a dome shade at the other defines Counterpoise, a floor lamp that holds its angle through balance. Suited to an Office desk, a Living Room reading chair, a Bed Room corner, a Drawing Room or Hotels suites.
Made entirely of metal in a bronze finish, it rises on a slim pole from a round, stepped base. It measures 1600mm high and 600mm wide and takes a single E27 bulb in the dome.
The dome focuses the light into a directed pool, and angling the arm moves that pool where it is needed, over a page, a desk or a piece of artwork.
