What size table does it need? Its 480mm width includes the side arm, so it needs a bedside table or console with enough depth and width to hold it steadily.
Can the pleats be cleaned with a vacuum?Yes, a brush attachment on a low setting lifts dust from the pleats; avoid water, which can mark the fabric.
Does it match a floor lamp in the same style?Yes, it shares its turned column and pleated shade with a matching floor lamp in the collection, so the two work together in one room.
Is it a reading lamp?Yes, the angled shade puts light where a book sits, making it a practical bedside reading lamp.
Did You Know Fact About The CategoryThe spinning wheel, or charkha, became a symbol of India's independence movement when Mahatma Gandhi urged people to spin their own khadi cloth instead of buying imported textiles. A charkha appeared at the centre of the flag adopted by the Indian National Congress in 1931.

A statement piece for contemporary and traditional rooms alike, built from materials chosen to last.
A turned column stacked with rounded collars, like a wooden spindle, holds the angled pleated shade of Spindle on a side arm. On a bedside chest it suits a Bed Room, and it works equally in a Living Room, a Drawing Room, an Office and Hotels.
Metal forms the turned column, arm and base in an antique bronze finish, and the shade is pleated fabric. The lamp is 680mm high and 480mm wide and takes one E27 bulb.
The tilted shade directs light down onto the table surface and slightly outward, making it easy to read beside it while the pleats give a warm outline.
