The Gilt Frame Clock takes its name from the tall gold iron open rectangle that dominates the composition, functioning as a picture frame within which the smaller black rectangle, the gold square clock face, and the standalone numeral 8 are arranged as though curated wall objects. This wall clock suits living rooms, hotel lobbies, dining areas, drawing rooms, and large office reception walls where an oversized wall composition is required.
The gold open rectangle is a tall vertical iron frame with clean mitre corners. A smaller black open rectangle overlaps it at a lower offset position, connected at the intersection by a small black square block. The gold acrylic clock face is a small square mounted at the intersection of the two frames, carrying Arabic numerals 12, 3, 6, and 9 in black with dot markers and slim black hands. A standalone black iron numeral 8 is positioned within the gold frame interior as a separate graphic element.
The gold and black composition reads with strong contrast against neutral wall surfaces. As a designer clock placed in a hotel lobby or living room, the two-frame structure claims a wall area many times larger than the clock face itself, making the timepiece secondary to the overall wall composition.
