The Teal Overlap

The Teal Overlap takes its name from the teal acrylic clock face and the overlapping relationship it forms with the black iron open frame, a two-plane composition that gives this wall clock its primary visual identity. The piece suits living rooms, hotel lobbies, dining areas, drawing rooms, and office receptions where a bold layered wall object is required alongside timekeeping.

The black iron frame is an open rounded rectangle with no infill, carrying the scripted numerals 9 and 6 as standalone wire elements on the frame border, and two small gold ball terminals at the top and bottom of the frame. The teal acrylic face is a smaller rounded rectangle overlaid diagonally across the upper section of the iron frame, carrying the numerals 12 and 3 in white with baton minute markers and a gold rectangular centre bar between the hands.

The teal and black colour combination reads strongly against neutral wall surfaces. As a designer clock placed in a living room or hotel corridor, the split numeral distribution across two separate planes creates a graphic puzzle that rewards closer reading, making the piece as engaging as a wall artwork as it is functional as a timepiece.
