About Wall Lamps

Wall lamps light a room from the sides, which is softer on faces than light from overhead. Lumeil's collection covers sconces for hallways and living rooms, bedside wall lights, picture lights for art, and LED wall lamps in brass, black, chrome and glass.

Height: mount most wall lamps with the centre of the fixture 60 to 72 inches (1.5–1.8 m) above the floor, roughly eye level for a standing adult. Next to a mirror, set them at the same height on both sides.

Spacing: in corridors, place sconces 6 to 8 ft (1.8–2.4 m) apart for even light without dark patches. Beside a bed, mount them about 24 to 30 inches (60–75 cm) above the top of the mattress so you can read without glare.

Picture lights: choose a light roughly half to two-thirds the width of the frame, mounted a few inches above it.

Every piece ships from Jaipur with delivery across India. For safe fitting, see how to install a wall lamp.
